Love breaks through barriers, often unexpected and unknown
Days of forced isolation, there is time to reflect while I’m alone
Taking me on a journey to the past, when our love flourished fresh and new
Our love would kindle and burn, can you still smell my sweet perfume
Do you think of me at times, and find joy in what we once had
Or do you sometimes curse my memory, does the thought of me make you sad
Thoughts of you creep into my mind, really more than I wish to say
For soon after you left, you found love, where you once harbored me to stay
We once talked of plans of a future,
a true modern day fairytale
Then you turned your back on us, our love did then plummet and fail
Does she now swoon and moan, under the spell of your gentle caress
Is the love that you share comparable to ours, do you love her more or less
Be sincere and loyal to her, let your love and affection not wane
Always look at her with utter adoration, let not your love turn to distain
Someday perhaps I will find love again, feelings no longer stagnant, but new
Allow myself to feel love again....let go and let love break through.
